PAYMENT

  • To book your seat either in our Yoga Teacher Training program or short-term retreat program, the fee has to be paid. Please note that we book the seats according to the chronology of the payment (“first come first served”)
  • We will accept reserving your seat to another date only due to unavoidable reasons, the paid amount can be adjusted/used in any future course you do with us within one year from the date of booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • The course fee including any initial deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel the course due to unavoidable reasons the booking amount can be adjusted/ used for any future course that you do with us within one year from the date of booking. To reschedule your course, you must inform us at least two weeks before your course start date otherwise you may lose your entire fee.
  • 100% Cancellation Charges or no refund in case of Cancellation or No-Show.
  • The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh is not responsible for any mishaps before the course schedule.
  • The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh reserves the right to cancel any booking that they feel necessary.
  • In case of cancellation of course by The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh before the beginning of the course, the student will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh is not liable for any expenses the student may have occurred including the travel expenses (e.g. flight and train tickets) even in case of a Training cancellation either by the participant or The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh.
  • Payment of fee implies consent to all the information, rules, regulations, terms and conditions of The Yoga Institute, Rishikesh.
  • The student is free to leave the course at any time. In this eventuality there will not be any refund and readmission will not be agreed.

Campus Rules

  • Residential students are not allowed to stay overnight off campus.
  • Fans and lights must be switched off when you leave your room. Light must be switched off when you go to bed.
  • If you have left the institute with permission, please ensure that you return to campus by 9:00pm.
  • IMPORTANT: All lights must be turned off and activities ceased at 9:00 p.m.

Hostel Rules

  • Room furniture, electrical fittings etc. are required to be maintained in good condition.
  • Lock your room properly when you go out for your bath, classes etc.
  • Keep your room, toilets and lobby of the living areas clean.
  • Keep your passport and valuables including currency in your own room locker.
  • Accommodation is on a shared basis. Please use the keys and locks provided by the hostel management.
  • Bed linen will be changed once a week unless in an emergency. Sheets, pillow cases blankets, mosquito nets are provided. Kindly bring your own towels.
  • Laundry service is outsourced and has to be settled directly with the service provider. Institute is only a facilitator.
  • Your room/locker can be inspected at any time by the hostel caretaker.

Internet

  • An internet-enabled computer is available at the institute. This can be used to check emails with permission.
  • Using the internet facility during class hours is not allowed.
  • Timings for internet access will be allocated by the Course Coordinator.

The Following are STRICTLY PROHIBITED

  • Smoking, drinking of alcohol or use of illicit drugs.
  • Students of opposite sexes will not enter each other’s rooms
  • Outside meals is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED
  • Students can get their own fresh fruits or dry fruits from the local market.

Dress Code

  • You are required to be decently dressed when you are out of your room, in the Campus and in the classroom.
  • Please dress keeping modesty and decency in mind.
  • You can wear a loose salwar-kameez or kurtas or pants and full tops.

Interaction with Institute Staff

  • Kindly treat the staff and housekeeping staff of the hostel with due courtesy at all times.
  • You are not permitted to use the service of the housekeeping staff for private or personal work.
  • Do not give any tips in cash or kind to the staff of the institute.

Leave Request

  • You are required to fill up and submit the ‘Leave Permission’ form if you leave the campus for some time.

Refrigeration Facilities

  • Refrigeration facility is there to store medicines and permitted eatables as fruits and salad ingredients only.

Recording Policy of TYI, Rishikesh

  • The Institute retains all rights to record the sessions for their internal usage & quality purposes. These recordings are strictly for the institute and the data is stored securely in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. Students are prohibited from recording these live sessions. We will not share any recordings with the students.
  • We respect each person’s privacy and hence if anyone has any objection to be captured in the frame, please feel free to step aside/outside of the camera frame and inform their respective coordinators.

Kindly Note

  • During your stay here, kindly maintain an atmosphere of peace and calm that is conducive to yogic practices at all times.
  • Maintain the sanctity of the institute and conduct yourself positively.
  • Keep in mind that you are here not merely to study the ancient discipline of Yoga, but also apply the same discipline and lifestyle to yourself in day-to-day activities; therefore, conduct yourself with restraint.

  • If one does not join the course within a year from the date of fees paid then the admission will be terminated. There will be no adjustments or refund of the fees once the admission is terminated.
Students found violating these instructions wilfully or whose presence is considered undesirable, for any reason, will be asked to leave immediately by the Course Coordinator without giving any reason or prior notice. It goes without saying that fees will not be refunded.
